About Cristin Rose

Cristin's love of makeup and hairstyling was realized at a very young age when she would "makeover" her younger brother and sister and parade them around the living room for her family to see and judge. (Sorry Robby!) This passion for beauty and styling followed Cristin through elementary and middle school, where she would get in trouble for wearing gold eye shadow and red nail polish to her very conservative private school. 

During Cristin's high school education she followed her love of all things "beautiful" and took several advanced art and technical classes, from which she completed enough hours to qualify for her Nail license in New Jersey.

When Cristin graduated from high school, she knew that she loved helping and teaching people, she received her bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Art Education from The College of New Jersey. While attending school there, Cristin sought the creativity that the beauty industry offered. So she continued to hone her craft performing "makeovers" on cousins and college friends throughout her college years.

One of Cristin's favorite memories to this day is when she studied photography and created an editorial type photo shoot, in which she styled many of her friends clothes, hair and makeup to represent fashions and trends seen in popular culture. She received an A+ for the project!

After graduation Cristin decided to pursue a formal education for hair and makeup, so she enrolled in a Paul Mitchell school, where she graduated and received her New Jersey Cosmetology License. Since cosmetology school, Cristin has worked on many projects in the tri-state area, including runway shows, weddings, photoshoots, boudoir sessions, educational events and classes.

Cristin has maintained her passion for education, and works with other artists and individuals to help perfect their skills. Cristin also devotes time every year to educational opportunities to help her grow as an artist and be on trend and knowledgeable of new products.

Cristin has taken classes with M•A•C, Make Up For Ever, Nars, Face Atelier, Paul Mitchell, Donna Bella Hair, Cinderella hair, L'oreal, Framesi, Aveda, and other brands.

Cristin works with agency and non-agency models to collaborate on looks to beef up their portfolios and comp cards.  Cristin has perfected Clean makeup  looks and hairstyles for head shots, she can also bring out your best features using her knowledge of facial features and color theory.

Makeup and hairstyling is a very important part of your wedding day.  Cristin prides herself in taking the time to speak with each of her brides, maids, and moms to find out what they want in their looks.  Cristin creates a custom look for each person in the wedding party, to enhance each person's unique features.  Please visit the Packages page to contact Cristin about your special day.

Fantasy and Creative work is one of Cristin's passions.  She works with many models and photographers and carefully considers the theme or feel of each shoot and how the final hair and makeup concept will come together in photos and video. 

She draws inspiration from color, texture, mechanical, and natural elements.  These photos show some of Cristin's favorite shots.
